Septimus is the central antagonist of the 2007 film Stardust.
He was the seventh and youngest son of the Dying King of Stormhold. He is portrayed by Mark Strong.
History[]
Septimus was born the seventh and youngest son, of the King of Stormhold, in which he would aim to kill his brothers, and inherit the throne from his father, to achieve this, he killed Quintus, by striking him in the head with an axe, while he slept, and killed Sextus by burning him alive. On top of this, Secundus, murdered Quartes by locking him in the ice box. Though the princes were often killed for this, Septimus managed to survive until his father was dying, along with his brothers: Primus, Secundus and Tertius. Though because four of the sons of the dying king were still alive, instead of one, it was unclear who would succeed him. Septimus also praised his father, stating that he was "strong and courageous", the king then told Secundus to look out the window and tell them what he saw. Septimus then stepped forward, and pushed Secundus out the window, falling to his death, and then caught Tertius, as he tried to do the same to him. When finding that Septimus' sister, Una was not there, his father and brothers accused Septimus of killing her, though he denied it, as the throne must pass to a male heir. His father then magically sent the Stormhold Ruby away, and told the remaining three of them that whoever found it, would become the king.
